HPU’s Paul and Vi Loo Theatre starts its 2007-2008 season with the opening of The Imaginary Invalid a comedy by Jean Baptiste Moliére, about a crazy old man who tries to get his daughter to marry a physician so he can get free medical treatment.

The play mixes a highly dysfunctional family with lots of twists and laughs. It is directed by Joyce Maltby, who has headed the program for 15 years.

The Imaginary Invalid will play every Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., and Sunday at 4 p.m., through Dec. 9, except for Thanksgiving which will be moved to Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m.

Admission is $20, $14 for non-HPU students, seniors, and military, and $3 for HPU Students. Call 375-1282 for reservations.
