HPU names new director
of choral music
HPU recently announced the appointment of Matthew
Kala‘i Stern as the director of Choral Music at HPU.
He replaces Susan McCreary Duprey, who created HPU’s
International Vocal Ensemble. Stern has an broad background
of musical training and experience, according to Jeffrey L.
Philpott, vice president for Student Affairs, who made the

The Japanese Women’s Society Foundation
(JWSF) is offering two scholarships of $2,500 to graduate students
