HPU honors legendary
Coach Sellito
HPU honored legendary coach Tony Sellitto
at halftime of the Feb. 9 men’s basketball game
against Brigham Young University-Hawai‘i. Sellitto
was the HPU athletics director and men’s basketball
coach from 1988-2002, amassing 298 wins and an NAIA National
Title in 1993. Participating in the ceremonies honoring
Sellitto was ESPN Sportcenter Anchor Neil Everett, himself
a former member of the HPU Athletics Department. [More]

on Feb. 4th as the new Women’s Soccer Coach at
Hawai‘i Pacific University. The press conference

Conference Room with PacWest Conference Commissioner

HPU softball team
prepares for Regionals in May
As PacWest Conference Champions, the HPU
Sea Warrior softball team begins the 2008 season with
a doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 2 to defend its title
against Brigham Young University-Hawai‘i. The game
was canceled due to bad weather and rescheduled to Monday,
Feb. 18 at BYU-Hawai‘i. First pitch is set for
12:00 p.m. The Sea Warriors also canceled their road
trip to Hilo due to bad weather and will open the season
with a televised game on OC-16 against BYU-Hawai‘i
on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 3:00 p.m. at Patsy Mink’s
Central O‘ahu Regional Park. [More]
