HPU runners take top spots at Great Aloha Run

The 8.15 mile Great Aloha Run started at Aloha Tower in downtown Honolulu and ended at the Aloha Stadium, following historic Honolulu Harbor, Nimitz Highway and Kamehameha Highway along the way. HPU cross country team has a tradition of winning, and this year was not an exception. Brian Lindberg, a student at Hawai‘i Pacific University as well as a member of HPU’s cross country team placed first. His teammate, Dany Malley, came in second. [More]

Award-winning local writer speaks at upcoming workshop

Award-winning local writer Cedric Yamanaka, author of Hawai‘i story collection In Good Company and many other short stories and screenplays, will speak at Hawai‘i Pacific University’s 12th Annual Ko‘olau Writing Workshops. The workshops will be held from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on March 14 in the Cooke Academic Center at the HPU windward Hawai‘i Loa Campus.
